"This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, go down to the Potter's house and there I will give you my message."
Nowhere is there a more vivid example of the relationship between God and His people than is seen in the relationship between the potter and their clay.
A Journey to the Potter’s House is a 90 minute illustrated sermon (though it can be shortened to accommodate any time frame) that brings you face to face with God in a way that will forever change the way you understand His working in your life.
You will see what Jeremiah saw as he watched the potter take the clay through various stages, fashioning it into a useful vessel and like Jeremiah, you will grow in your understanding of how God can use all of the circumstances of your life, even the most painful ones, to fashion your life into a vessel of beauty, worth and purpose " a vessel of honor, fit for the masters use."
2 Timothy 2:21.
Watch the trailer below as Mike demonstrates, through the shaping of clay, God's awesome plans for us.

Born in White Plains, New York, Michael came to faith in Christ at age 20 while serving as a Deep Sea Diver in the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he worked as a carpenter for several years then began his own building business which he operated successfully for 10 years. In 1991 he left the building industry for a profession in human development.
During his academic pursuits he conducted several research projects in the areas of: autobiographical memories of the elderly, spousal abuse, attitudes toward the emotional abuse of children, the effects of divorce on the psycho-social development of children and boundary violations within the therapeutic context.
Michael holds a Ph.D in counseling psychology, a Masters degree in marriage and family therapy, and a Masters degree in church development. He has held membership in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy at both the state and national level, is a Charter member of The American Association of Christian Counselors and is a lifetime member of Psi Chi, National Honor Society in Psychology; a division of The American Psychological Association.
Michael has written the curriculum for two graduate level classes that have been translated into workshops that he offers to churches to help better equip people for ministry. One workshop is entitled “A Counseling Model for People in Ministry” which is a six hour training designed to equip the individual with strength based counseling skills and a template to follow that will enable the counselor to empower the individuals they are helping to overcome the challenges in their life, and to enrich the quality of their relationships.
He also offers an 8 hour clinical training called: A Choice To Heal; A Professional Training For Post-Abortive Counselors, which is specifically designed for clergy, professional counselors, serious lay counselors, social workers, crisis pregnancy workers, woman's ministry workers, any counselor or church group interested in starting a post-abortive healing ministry. In this workshop, participants will learn “The Redemptive Model of Post-Abortive Healing” which is a stage model, moving the post-abortive woman through six stages in her healing process. This workshop is developed from the graduate level class “Treating the Post-abortive client” which is the only class in the world to date that offers academic credit for a training model in post-abortive counseling.
"A Journey to the Potter's House" was born out of the lessons Michael learned in the process of healing from his own brokenness; seeing how God can take something painful and transform it into something that can reflect the glory of God. Michael blends his gifts of craftsmanship, creative communications, his love for people and his love for God to bring a message of hope, healing and redemption, as we live our lives as clay, in the hands of the Potter.
